Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Ultrasonic Testing uses high-frequency sound waves to detect internal flaws, measure thickness, and evaluate material integrity. UT is essential for identifying subsurface defects that other methods cannot detect.

UT is commonly applied to: • Welds in pressure vessels and piping • Structural steel • Storage tanks • Pipeline integrity assessments • Forgings and castings

A transducer sends ultrasonic waves into the material. Reflections from internal features or defects are displayed and interpreted by certified technicians.

Our UT procedures follow CGSB 48.9712, ASTM E164, and CSA code requirements. Inspections are performed by CGSB Level II and III technicians.
