Ferrite Testing (FT) Ferrite testing measures ferrite content in stainless steel welds and components. Proper ferrite levels help prevent cracking, corrosion, and failure in demanding service environments.

Ferrite testing is used for: • Stainless steel welds • Pressure vessels and piping • Petrochemical and refinery applications • Heat-affected zones • Duplex and super-duplex materials

Ferrite meters use magnetic induction to measure ferrite content, displayed as Ferrite Number (FN).

Our ferrite testing follows AWS A4.2 and industry acceptance criteria.
